Mark Rizzuto joins TMS

Mark Rizzuto - now a major
shareholder in TMS

TMS Asia-Pacific founder Gary Marshall and Chairman Phil Hoffman have announced high profile industry strategist Mark Rizzuto will become a major shareholder in the company and play a major role in taking the company forward in his capacity as TMS Principal.

Announcing the outcome from the company’s Australian regional headquarters in Sydney, Mr Marshall said Mr Rizzuto’s core expertise is in the area of emerging travel products and technologies and how they directly impact business practices in the travel industry would prove of immense benefit to TMS.

“He is considered a foremost expert on Asia-Pacific travel distribution strategies, technologies and business trends, all of which will prove invaluable to the brand as we continue to take it forward into the future,” Mr Marshall said.

Mr Marshall said a key element of Mr Rizzuto’s new role would be a focus on the company’s development across the region, and particularly the company’s Australian base.

“In addition to Mark’s management responsibilities, he will play an instrumental role in the design and execution of projects and other activity designed to strengthen the TMS brand in all our areas of operation,” he said.

“Having Mark come on board represents a major achievement for TMS.”

Actively engaged in the travel industry for more than 30 years Mr Rizzuto brings a wealth of corporate industry knowledge to TMS.

He is extremely well known on the global tourism scene where he has held a variety of senior roles in the airline, retail, wholesale and technology sectors.

He is also vastly experienced in destination marketing and GDS and most recently has been consulting to a number of large industry entities across Australia and the Asian markets..

Mr Rizzuto’s previous executive positions include Commercial Director - Sabre Pacific (Australia); General Manager - Internet Travel Technologies (Australia); Vice President & General Manager Galileo Southern Cross – Travelport (Australia & New Zealand), and Vice President Airline Services Asia & Pacific – Travelport (Australia).

He is also a past director of Gulliver’s Travel Associates Hong Kong, Malaysia and Taiwan and also has extensive experience in the India IT sector.

Mr Rizzuto will be based in the company’s Pitt Street, Sydney, regional headquarters.
